Natural Gas Prices Going UP

Natural gas prices continue to rise because there is not enough natural gas in storage to last all winter. U.S. prices have more than doubled since spring. Natural gas prices in major economies such as England, Germany and France, have spiked, leading to record electricity prices. (No… the windmills stopped working because there isn’t enough wind to move the blades). The rally in natural gas prices is also driving up the global demand for coal to make electricity.

Question: Europe is rapidly becoming dependent on Russia for natural gas… It will be a long cold winter…  Will Russia use natural gas to blackmail Europe?

Question: Will there be enough coal fired generation capacity to keep the lights on?
